The Shared Ministry agreement between New Hope Community Church and Riverside Lutheran Church began in April of 2014. Our partnership is unique; however, more and more churches are beginning to consider entering into similar agreements with partnering denominations to operate more effectively and efficiently.

New Hope Community Church is a member of the Reformed Church In America (RCA), and Riverside Lutheran Church is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church In America (ELCA). Many years ago, the RCA and ELCA became full communion partners; which opened the door to a partnership like ours. As Pastor Tim Squier explains, “This is not a union, this is a partnership in ministry where New Hope Community Church and Riverside Lutheran Church are worshiping under one roof, sharing one pastor, yet maintaining each of the churches’ unique worship style and distinctness.”

We feel very strongly that entering into this shared ministry agreement allows both congregations the opportunity to better serve and bless our neighbors in Riverside, Siouxland, and to the ends of all the earth!
